Joseph Kemp
Joseph Daniel Kemp, 76, of Luray, died on Friday, May 30.
He was bom on Sept. 29, 1920, in Luray and was a son of the late Harry and Velma Elizabeth Kibler Kemp.
Mr. Kemp was a self-employed painter and carpenter after retiring from Blue Bell and was an Army veteran of World Warn.
On Jan. 6, 1945, he married the former, Dorothy E. Shenk, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Janet E. Kemp of Luray, and Barbara K. Underwood of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, H. Loring Kemp of Luray; one sister, Gladys Lisanby of Pascagoula, Miss, and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are several cousins including Mrs. June Clark and Misty Hitt of Woodville.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, June 1, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles J. Comer.
Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
