will be holding their Vacation Bible School June 23-27 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Bible School is for children who have completed preschool up through sixth grade. You are invited to a, Balloon Fest Registration Carnival which will be held on Sunday, June 22 from 2 until 4 p.m. Your children will enjoy games, prizes, snacks and fellowship while you are busy with registration. Amissville United Methodist Church will hold their annual Vacation Bible School July 14-18 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Children in the community are invited to attend to have fun while learning God’s word.
A very big black bear has been seen in the area from Quail Ridge to Jeffersonton. To date, it seems to be interested in the contents of trash cans and runs off at the presence of humans. There is a possibility that more than one bear is involved. Please use caution should you happen upon a bear and notify the local police of its location.
Congratulations to Haley L. Meade for winning Little Miss Pound in the pageant Saturday, June 7. Haley is the daughter of Tonya and Jeff Meade and my great niece.
