Reenactment Scheduled

The second annual Eyewitness To War Civil War Reenactment will take place June 14, 12 noon to 8:30 p.m., at the Mt. Zion Church, Route 50, near Gilbert’s Comer. Events start at 12 noon with skirmishes and lectures and end at 8:30 p.m. with a Torchlight Tour highlighting the history of this area. Sponsored by the Mt. Zion Church Preservation Association, this event is free but donations will be greatly appreciated to help in the restoration of this historic site. Crafters Sought

Crafters needed for the Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock Farm Show, July 26 and 27. Cost for a space is $10 for both days and a donated craft item. Spaces available indoor and outside, limited space indoors, first come, first serve. Please call Denise Webb at 923-5038 for registration forms.

Girls Instructional Camp

There will be a Girls Basketball Camp held at the RCHS gym June 1821. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the camp will be held from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, June 21, the camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon. The camp is for girls entering the sixth grade up to grade twelve. The cost of the camp is $40. Instructors for the camp will be Varsity Coach, Luther Stanley and J.V. Coach, Rhonda Jenkins. Children's Playgroup

Parents are welcome to bring their children to our playgroup Thursday, June 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The group meets at Rappahannock Park each Thursday. There will be a special outing June 19 to Lake Arrowhead for swimming and a picnic, meeting at Country Manor in Sperryville at 10 a.m. The cost will be $2 for adults and $1 to 1:50 for children. Queen Contestant Sought

The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments are currently seeking queen contestants for their annual carnival which will be held July 23-26.
