He pointed out that natural growth in the budget, at least this year, appears likely to provide much of the revenue that could fund such a transfer of responsibilities.
“We’re at 7 percent growth this year, where we’ve only budgeted for 3 percent," Hull said. Hull said it’s also time to consider giving counties the same taxing authority enjoyed by cities.
