Preparations are being made for the dedication ceremony of Emerald Hill Elementary School to be held on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. There will be a reception and open house immediately following the ceremony.
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR is sponsoring an essay contest for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. “Forts in American History” is this year’s topic. Any fort built before 1890 on land now part of the United States may be an essay topic. Rules of the contest have been sent to all county schools.
