UNDER ATTACK: The home of the Wilson’s in Old Hollow was severely damaged by a bear last month. The bear, which was being fed by one of their neighbors, came looking for more food and when it couldn’t find any then tried to get in to get more food. Jim Bankston, game warden, cautions residents about feeding wild animals. It makes them loose their natural fear of man, he said and makes them very dangerous. During hunting season, which began Monday, this is especially important because many people are out in the woods and wild animals who have lost their natural fear may behave in unpredictable ways.
