By participating in the second annual Adventures in Dining program, 25 of the area’s most popular restaurants are supporting Hospice of the Rapidan’s Benevolent Care Fund for terminally ill patients and their families. The 1998 book features 37 coupons redeemable for over $200 in discounts.
Coupons are valid through November 1998. Books may be purchased at $30 each, or $25 for two or more, by calling Hospice of the Rapidan, 8254840.
“We are so pleased to have their support again this year,” says Page Smith, Hospice of the Rapidan’s director of community outreach. “The restaurant owners have all been so good to us, and they enjoy participating because the program brings new clientele to their tables. The folks who buy the book get to try out places they’ve never been before, and everyone feels good about supporting a worthy cause. This program generates funds to help offset the cost of care, medication and equipment to keep our patients comfortable.”
