Road problems?
The recent disagreement and confusion concerning plans for secondary road work in the county has led to an arranged meeting with the Virginia Department of Transportation and any county residents who desire to attend.
Robert Moore, VDOT’s resident engineer, will address questions at a meeting open to the public at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Rappahannock Library.
If such meetings were held on a monthly or bimonthly basis, as suggested by Don Audette of Sperryville, it would definitely go a long way toward I keeping citizens up to date on VDOT’s work.
At the recent public hearing on the Six Year Plan for secondary roads, held by the Rappahannock Board v of Supervisors, many residents expressed their concerns for the county’s plans regarding their roads.
The meeting ort Dec. 8 is a good place for people to begin to address those concerns with VDOT and from there with the board of supervisors. 1
