Wastewater Survey Committee Chairman Charles Tompkins announced that the Virginia Department of Health found some indications of drainfield failures and water problems in the town. The survey data requires further analysis before the extent of the problem can be determined.
Seminar
Tompkins also reported that the Alternative Solutions Seminar held at the fire hall in October “was a great success. Despite a disappointing turnout, the seminar was a great opportunity for town citizens, as well as neighboring county residents, to see that there are some very palatable options available today.
