The Rappahannock News has on a few occasions referred to me as a “noted authority on traffic calming.” This is not true. I just enjoy doing research and writing on various topics such as traffic calming, the county’s road system, etc., all in support of Rappahannock County’s Comprehensive Plan. Currently, I am researching the Virginia Department of Transportation’s procedure for developing the Six-Year Plan for the secondary highway system, plus gathering information on the county’s volunteer fire and rescue com-' ; panies’ views on access road- r: ways to homes. In both cases, I plan to submit articles to the Rappahannock News. As to VDOT, arrangements have been made for 1' Robert Moore, VDOT’s resident engineer, to answer questions at a meeting open (. ■ to the public at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 :• - at the Rappahannock . V Library.
