The Great American Smokeout, the American Cancer Society’s annual effort to encourage smokers to give up cigarettes for 24 hours, is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 20. Valley Health System is planning several activities to help people remain smoke-free for the day.
Valley Health System offers several smoking cessation classes and programs. The eight-week Quit for Good program helps people through the process of preparing to quit, quitting and maintaining a non-smoking lifestyle.
