The Rappahannock Board of Supervisors appointed John Borgens, an Amissville resident and licensed clinical social worker in private practice to the Social Services Board. The Virginia Department of Transportation recently completed work on the first phase of reconstructing sidewalks in Washington. The Sperryville Business Council is busy planning for their annual Blue Ridge Christmas to be held Nov. 2426. Door prizes, seasonal sales, free refreshments, wreaths, trees, open houses and Christmas cheer will be enjoyed by all. Tony Rice is coming to the Gay Street Theatre on Nov. 11 with the Confederate Agents. Tony Rice is the premiere guitarist in the country at this time and an exceptional vocalist. His current album is called “Native American" and reflects his energies and his own unique blending of his diverse roots. The performance is for one night only.
