The Amissville Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child is progressing nicely. The boxes must be wrapped and ready for shipment on Nov. 15. If you would like to donate gifts or money, to pay for shipping the boxes, each box cost $5 to ship, please contact Charlotte Mills at 937-6159. This is something you can do as a family, the k ds and I each did a box and it was great fun. The boys picked out stuff for little boys and Amber picked out some stuff for a girl.
The Amissville Homemakers met Nov. 1 and Loretta Clater showed them how to make Thanksgiving runners and centerpieces. They also elected new officers.
