Madison added a late goal for the 5-3 final.
All in all, a satisfying end to a season that started slow, at 0-2, but ended up 4-3-1.
According to Coach Kevin Reid, “Hopefully we can keep this team together in the spring. I think we have a good thing going.”
The U-14 Rabid Wombats lost to Madison 3-0 and ended the season 3-5.
The final U-12 game of the season had both home teams going head to head once again. With both the Firebirds and the Tigers boasting undefeated seasons (previously, these two teams had tied each other), this was truly a game of champions.
The Tigers scored first, but the lead was not held for long as the Firebirds scored later in the first half. At half time, it was 1-1 and that is the way it ended, despite many attempt from both sides.
Congratulations to both teams and coaches for an outstanding season. Way to go U12!
