The Child Care and Learning Center will hold its fourth annual auction at the Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue this Saturday, Nov. 13. from 6 to 10 p.m. The goal of the auction is to raise $20,000, as tuition only pays 70 percent of the children’s education.
The CCLC also gives out between $25,000 and $30,000 in private scholarships a year to attend CCLC.
The event will begin with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. At this time, people can meet, mingle, start to 3 browse and buy from the tagged auction. Items will include housewares, crystal, framed prints, china, collectibles, small furniture, decorator items, and lamps.
At 7 p.m. the live auction begins. There will be 65-70 items auctioned off. In addition, there will be silent auctions. In the past, silent auctions have included: two nights at a bed & breakfast on the Eastern Shore, gift
