Hunting season began Nov. 1 with black powder and regular rifle season begins next Monday, Nov. 15. And deer accidents will increase.
The most notable accidents in the county this past week were deer related. And both accidents occurred early in the morning when drivers were trying to wake up and get to work.
On Nov. 2, at 7:07 a.m., Gene Steward of Luray struck a deer on U.S. 211 near Amissville, one-tenth of a mile east of Route 640.
