Three days later on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 a.m. another driver struck a deer.
Robert McCoy of Shenandoah, Va. was driving a ‘99 Chevy Pickup on U.S. 211, one-tenth of a mile east of Route 678. A deer ran out in front of his car. The car struck the deer head on and killed the deer.
The driver was, fortunately, not injured. But his vehicle sustained $1500 worth of damage.
No other similar incidents were reported to the Rappahannock News. But an inability to contact the Sheriff’s office regarding incidents in the county has been prevalent.
