The turnout has increased Steadily for the auction. Last year, Rose Ann Sharp, the executive director of the school and recent election winner for Hampton District School Board, estimated 150 people attended and this year she is expecting even more.
The auction is coordinated by a group called Friends of Child Care and Learning Center, a fourteen member group. The president of the group is Kay Miller. The coordinator and manager of the auction is the vice-president on the board, Susan McCarthy. McCarthy is also the owner of the shop, Cordelia & Co.
The auction is a yearround project of collecting and amassing items. The majority of the items auctioned are private donations. But many of the items are bought by CCLC.
