Stephen Young

Stephen Craig Young, 39, of Culpeper died Wednesday, Nov. 3 at the University of Virginia Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with leukemia.
He was bom June 1, 1960 in St. Johnsbury, Vt. to Carol Thompson Stevens Young of Lyndonville, Vt. and the late Irving Edward Young.
Mr. Young was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member and deacon of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a coach for the Rappahannock Soccer and Baseball League.
He is survived by his wife, Melody Poehler Young and two sons, Thomas Andrew Young and Daniel Joseph Young, all of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include a brother, Jeffrey Young of Milton, Vt.; two sisters, Allison Jurentkuff of St. Johnsbury, Vt. and Sarah Young of Culpeper and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his father.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 7 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Jon C. Heddleston and Rev. Tim Atkins officiating.
