CCLC succeeds with
zoning change
The Child Care and Learning Center succeeded in its quest to have the Town’s Zoning Ordinance amended to allow for the “adaptive reuse of existing structures” so that a range of uses would be permissible in all of the Town’s zoning categories, as long as a special use permit were issued. Once the Zoning Ordinance amendment passed, and it did so unanimously, the Council agreed to issue CCLC a special use permit, thus enabling the organization to use the annex building on the Old Washington School property to house the Rappahannock Family Guidance Services and the Senior Citizen Site.
