O’Connell recalls the first event, “We felt it would have to be on a day that we are closed, so we chose Tuesday. We were not expecting too big a turnout.”
But turnout they did. The line extended all the way around the block. Although some people were discouraged by the length of the line, by the end of the day a thousand people had come through.
