Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Peyton and daughter, Kamry were honored with a housewarming party on Sunday afternoon at their new home, the former Day residence. We wish them the very best and extend a warm welcome from the community.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mrs. Michael Grant and her family upon the passing of her grandmother, Mrs. Joseph (Bessie) Atkins of Sperryville which occurred Sunday morning at Lignum Manor and was laid to rest today, Wednesday in Sperryville Cemetery.
Miss Joy Best, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Best, returned home last Wednesday from University of Virginia, where she had been a patient for two weeks, following an automobile accident. Our prayers are with her as she continues to improve.
New Salem Baptist Church held their Christmas program Sunday evening and was greatly enjoyed by all present, and according to a spokesperson, the children did a great job.
