• Many of you are aware that author, Richard Stack, who has written a series of books about “Josh the Wonder Dog”, will be visiting RCES on Tuesday, Dec. 21. He will present two assemblies, one at 10 a.m. and one at 2 p.m. : He will have books for sale which he will I autograph, as well as other associated * items. If you would like to purchase a book in advance, and have it personalized as a gift for your child or someone else, please contact Mrs. Aney Massie, RCES Librarian, at 987-8259 as soon as possible. Mr. Stack’s hooks are on the List of Librarian’s Picks for the Accelerated Reader Program, and each has a positive message for children. The community is invited to attend either of his programs. ; *
Many familiar RCES faces were seen volunteering their time' at the annual ■ Sperryville Rescue Squad’s Christmas Breakfast on Dec. 4. Second grade teacher, Mrs. Geraldine Payne, former PTO president, Mrs. Cecilia Dennis, Cafeteria Manager, Mrs. Pat Jenkins and her “cafeteria co-hort" Mrs. Shirley Frye were just a few. It is great to see so many in our school family reaching out to the community in such positive ways.
