Residents of the Town of Washington and also those who work within the town gathered for a Christmas party at the town hall on Sunday evening. A good time was had by all. We encourage you to stop by and look at the tree in front of the courthouse. It was decorated by the girl scouts and was officially lit on Sunday evening before the singing of Christmas carols.
Congratulations to Meredith Gorfein, who was recently elected as Chair of the Rappahannock Democratic Committee for the next two years. Also to Floyd Stilley, who will serve as Secretary.
On Saturday, Dec. 18 the deacons of Washington Baptist Church will have a Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. at the parsonage.

Mrs. Sarah Brown entertained at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark for a 19th birthday luncheon for her daughter, Amanda Brown on Saturday afternoon with 14 relatives and friends attending.
