her husband on the birtfi* of their new baby girl, Hannah Noel. Hannah was bonv'on Dec. 8 and the family is joyful to say the least.

• Several new faces may be seen around RCES over the next few months. We are happy to welcome Ms. Barbara Norris, who is substituting for Mrs. Atkins in her absence, and Mrs. Sharon Humbles, RCES parent, who will substitute for Mrs. Carol Johnson when she takes leave in the near future.

• RCES is saddened by the departure of teacher’s aid and RCES parent, Mrs. Frances Barron. She has been such a positive presence while working at the school and she will be greatly missed. We wish her well in her new endeavors.

• For the next three weeks of the holiday season, The Panther Pause article will be filled with creative student writing. Mrs. Cynthia Simpson’s fourth graders, Mrs. Deborah Flinchum’s first graders, and Mrs. Amy Gubler’s eighth graders will be the contributing authors. We look forward to reading their special works. Many thanks to these wonderful teachers.
