Class representatives are fourth grader Taylor Hammelman, fifth grader Taylor Miller, sixth grader Sam Beatty, seventh grader Lacey Judd, eighth grader Saagar Mehta, freshman Mandee Judd, sophomore Antonia Toth, junior Britton Wood and senior Alissa Rye.
Prefects are freshman Maureen Dale, sophomore Judson Hurlbert, junior Thomas Dowell, and senior James Mumper.
• WCDS has gotten “in the spirit” with many recent holiday events. Kathy Nilan^s kindergarten students recently visited Glengary Christmas Tree Farm in Amissville, where they chose a fresh trefe to be cut and displayed in their classroom. !
Our French Department delighted its audience last week with its Advent Program, “Cherchez la Joie”, directed by teachers Diane Wood and Marilene Henry, performed by French students in grades one through twelve and featuring a violin solo by Liz Williams.
Fourth through sixth graders, along with teachers Lauren Wells, Aney MassieHoehn and Courtney Beeton made a visit to Lynn Cate Center in Front Royal to siijg Christmas Carols with the accompaniment of music teacher Bobbi Andes. A good time was had by all!
• The Owls Boys Varsity Basketball Team will play 6t 6:30 Friday, Dec. 17, at Notre Dame. Come on out and cheer them on!
