The only real insect pests a^e slugs, snails and weevils, the first two being the most troublesome. Slugs and snails chew holes in the leaves and can be controlled with commercially available pest bait products. Weevils chew irregular shaped notches in the edges of the leaves and can be controlled with granular Diazinon.
