Ennis S. Jenkins Sr., 89, of Sperryville died Friday, April 21 at Culpeper Regional Hospital.
Mr. Jenkins was bom April 15, 1911 in Rappahannock County, a son of the late James Virgil and Ada Jenkins.
He was a life long member of Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle and retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation after 37 years of service.
Mr. Jenkins was predeceased by his wife, Della Elizabeth Jenkins and one son, Charles William Jenkins.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by two sons, Ennis Jenkins Jr. of Washington and James C | ay ton Jenkins of Berryville and two daughters, Stella Mae Rutherford of Reva and Mary Catherine Atkins of Sperryville.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat-grandchild.
Additional survivors include one brother, George W. Jenkins of Sperryville; three sisters, Margaret Jenkins of Front Royal, Lucille Releford of Castleton and Holly Dodson of Culpeper and a host of other relatives and friends. • Funeral services were conducted on Monday, April 24 at Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle in Nethers with the Rev. Steve Clinedinst, Rev. Charles Clinedinst and Rev. Oliver Bowles officiating.
