INNER PEACE

Much of the value of prayer and meditation comes from directing our focus upon our inner selves. In this quiet interior space, we can contemplate our spiritual nature. In the words of Soren Kierkegaard, “If a (man) in the desert were suddenly to discover a spring in his tent, and so would always be able to have water in abundance, how fortunate he would consider himself - so, too, when a man who has a physical being is always turned toward the outside, thinking that his happiness lies outside him, finally turns inward and discovers that the source is within him, not to mention his discovery that the source is his relation to God.”

Discovering a way to have peace within is a rich asset as we grow older. We are all beset with challenges that hurt us, so it behooves us to cultivate practices which bring us inner calm and serenity. At the MOSER FUNERAL HOME, 233 Broadview Avenue in Warrenton, we know that losing a loved one is often a shock, even when death is expected. We are experienced in offering support to those who are suffering sudden recent loss. Call 540-347-3431, and we’re happy to lend a hand. “The soul can split the sky in two, and let the face of God shine through. ”
