Benefit sale at Amissville

The Amissville United Methodist Church will host their annual yard and bake sale on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be served.

Band Boosters to meet

A reunion for Bossy and Marie Woodard from Oregon will be held at the Washington Fire Hall on Saturday, April 30 beginning at 11.30 a.m. All family, friends and former school mates are welcome. Please bring a covered dish.

Contestants sought

Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department is in search of contestants for their upcoming beauty pageant which will be held Saturday, May 13 at 6 p.m. at Ressie Jeffries School on Criser Road in Front Royal.

The following age groups will be represented: birth to 23 months, Baby Miss; two to four years, Wee Miss; five to eight years, Tiny Miss; nine to 12, pre-teen Miss; 13-15, Junior Miss and 16-21 Miss. Kids ’ fishing day slated

The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, the Town of Front Royal and the Northern Shenandoah Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited, (of which Rappahannock is a part) are co-sponsoring the third annual Kids’ Fishing Day on Saturday, May 6. This event will take place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Happy Creek in Front Royal Municipal Park near Bing Crosby Stadium. Children, ages two to 15 are invited to participate and must be accompanied by a parent or adult.
