Accomplishments: Martha Kidwell moved to Rappahannock County as a child from Long Comer, Md. and graduated from Rappahannock County High School. She has been employed at the Rappahannock County Elementary School for 23 years, starting as a kindergarten aide and has been the secretary for 16 years. Mrs. Kidwell especially enjoys watching the students in the school grow up, coming in excited about being in kindergarten and before you know it, coming back to register their own children. She is married to George Kidwell, who retired from Fairfax County as a building inspector in March. He has recently started working part-time for Rappahannock County as a building inspector. The Kidwells have two daughters, Jane and Sherri and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Richard, who are their pride and joyMrs. KidweH4s^ member.oUhe -... j Sperryville United Methodist Church. As the Kidwell's daughters were growing up Mrs. Kidwell was a Girl Scout leader and was active in the 4-H program. She has helped with the CulpeperMadison-Rappahannock Farm Show for almost two decades. Mrs. Kidwell enjoys gardening, reading, working on their small farm and spending time with her family. The Rappahannock News takes great pride in naming Mrs. Kidwell Citizen-of-the-Week. She is always a wealth of information to us when we have a question about a student or teacher's name at the last minute. She always quick to respond and willing to go the extra mile.
