When passing by the "log cabin" on the hill had you noticed new people have moved into our area, as Mr. Herbert Hash, upon selling his property is now a resident of Culpeper Retirement Community.
Quite a number of area folk attended the "Singing and Pickin'' party at Salem Fire Hall, Friday evening and report an enjoyable evening.
At the recent graduation from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, a young man from our area was among the graduates, Airforce Airman William Collins and he is the son of Warren Collins. Airman Collins graduated from Rappahannock High School in June 1999.
Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Heflin, Crystal and Jacob and Jennifer Peregory, Kellie Bragg dined at Country Cookin in Culpeper Friday evening following the Bible School closing program at Black Oak Regular Baptist Church.
Congratulations to Miss Cindy Nicholson of Castleton Ford Road for having won first place in the Farm Show Photo Contest of "2 Cute-2 Furtny”, picturing a little girl and her two pet dogs, which also brings the reminder of the Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock Farm Fair which will begin on Thursday of this week and continue through Monday, July 31.
Wedding anniversary bells will be ringing as we extend wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Williams, whose day is Tuesday, Aug. 1 and also to Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wharton on Saturday.
