at Floyd Compton's orchard Tuesday. A similar demonstration had been held at the orchard of H.B. Winfrey at Woodville several weeks ago. This type of sprayer is different from the usual method used in the county. It has been used in the north for some time, but Mr. Compton has the only one like it in the county. It uses a spray-like atomizer mist, and this demonstration was to show how well the mist would hit the tallest trees. Mayor William F. Moffett Jr., was one of the six mayors of American towns named Washington, who was a guest of the National Capital Sesquicentennial Commission in Washington, D.C., Wednesday, July 19. These six mayors, were heads of towns ranging in population from 507 to 5980.

Dr. William Young, Medical Director for the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Mental Health and Mental Retardation Services Board has been reelected Chairman of the Governor's Professional Advisory Board for Mental Health and Mental Retardation. He was initially appointed by Governor Holton in 1971 and then reappointed in 1972 for a fouryear term. A special interest 4-H sewing group has completed and are modeling the garments which they made during this summer project. Instructors for the girls were Mrs. Elaine Wiley and Mrs. Llewellyn Allison, Home Agent. Participating girls included Monica Starks, Carolyn Racer, Kay Jenkins, Barbara Martin, Rhonda Wiley and
