Q: Say a child is starting to
spiral out of control, because of problems at home impacting school- will a teacher send a child like that to you for a talk?
A: It happens sometimes. At
the high school they have a bit more freedom with their time, with lunch or various activities. I have kids come out here some times to talk to me about problems they are having. They may be from a home where there is not a male role model to talk to. I think that over the years we’ve built up some trust. They know I won't just be critical of them.
