Our search was narrowed further when we began visiting the Town of Washington. It is a little gem and so unspoiled by the unchecked development we found near other rural areas. We visited many small towns in our search but found that most were only minutes from billboards, strip malls and housing developments. What makes Washington so extremely special is that it is miles from such unattractive development and remains truly one of the most beautiful areas we have ever seen.
Our hope, as newcomers to this very special area, is that Mayor Willis and the Town Council will move very slowly in the decision to build the proposed treatment plant. Aware there are certainly serious problems to be solved, we are hopeful that a decisions will be made to alleviate the problems and yet protect
