Mr. Larson nas Deen active in the business community serving on the Chamber of Commerce, the Committee for Excellence in Education, and the Tourism Advisory Board. He is also a director of The Fauquier Bank. In 1996, he received the Chamber's Business Person of the Year award for outstanding contributions to the community.
In announcing Mr. Larson's appointment to the staff, Chris Miller, President of PEC said, "We are fortunate to find a person with the knowledge of the community that Doug brings to this position. While his primary area of responsibility will be heading the development effort of the organization, Doug will also be able to assist in many of our educational programs."
Mr. Larson assumed the position as of Dec. 1. He said, "I feel fortunate to find an opportunity that allows me to combine my interest in the environment with my experience in the non-profit world. I am pleased to be based in Warrenton and look forward to learning more about the entire PEC region.”
