Basketball Tournament slated j
The Rappahannock County High School Athletic Department { will host an Alumni Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 29 • and 30 at the high school gymnasium. Players are needed to fill ! teams in a men's and women's bracket. J
There will be a $10 registration fee per player which must be J paid in advance. Players will be issued and allowed to keep their ■ uniform shirt. !
Alumni interested in playing or in being a team captain/coach J should contact Kelly Settle at RCHS 987-8575. Please contact ; Mrs. Settle by Dec. 15 so players can be assigned to teams. '

Holiday drive underway at RCES i
In an attempt to help children realize that giving can be as j rewarding as receiving, a Christmas food and school supplies > drive has been organized at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Participation is voluntary and the families receiving the J supplies will remain anonymous.
Following are some suggested items for this drive: School ! supplies, notebooks, pencils, crayons, coloring books, puzzles, J books, canned goods, soup, drinks, cereal, mittens, hats, J scarves, paper towels, sewing kit, first aid supplies, soap, tooth- • brushes and toothpaste. !
Drop off boxes will be in the lobby of the Rappahannock J Elementary School before and after school now through Dec. 18. J Please contact Mrs. Candy Lamma with any questions at 987- • 8259. !
