Woodard Dodson, 90, of Sperryville died Sunday, Dec. 10 at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Madison.
She enjoyed being a homemaker.
Mrs. Dodson was born in Rappahannock County on May 12, 1910, a daughter of the late George C. and Norma Mae Pullin Woodard.
Survivors include her niece, Jean Welch and her husband Mike and their family of Sperryville with whom she resided until going to live at Autumn Care; two nephews, George Woodard of Washington and Tommy Woodard and his wife Pam of Luray; a sister-in law, Louise Woodard of Washington; a brother-in-law, Charles Dodson and his wife Cleo of Sperryville and a cousin, Lyle Atkins of Sperryville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dodson was predeceased by her husband, James A. "Jim" Dodson; a brother, George E. "Ned" Woodard and a sister, Rebecca Woodard.
Graveside services were conducted Dec. 12 at Fairview Cemetery by Rev. Jon Heddleston.

Roy William Thomas Jr., 24, of Sperryville died Dec. 10 at Culpeper Regional Hospital after a long battle with Muscular Dystrophy.
He was born April 1, 1976 in Culpeper to Roy William Thomas Sr. and Betty Lou Costello Thomas.
Mr. Thomas graduated from Rappahannock County High School. He was a member of Five Forks Regular Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Phillip Allen Thomas, also of Sperryville and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Thomas was predeceased by a brother, Eric Lee Thomas; his paternal grandparents, Roy Wood Thomas and Alice Virginia Clatterbuck Thomas and his maternal grandparents, Carroll Wilson
