The three hour meet was designed to give each team's wrestlers at least one match and preferably two or three. There were two full sized mats with rings, referees that scored the bouts, and timers and scorers that kept track of the particulars.
For the Rappahannock grapplers, it was the first time most of them had wrestled under match conditions with judges and real scoring. It was also the first time the squad had their singlets and headgear on in competition.
Afterward, Coach Jim Wells said, "It was a good day of wrestling. They learned a lot. Of course with a new team, there is so much to learn. Sometimes they putthemselves in positions where, they get in trouble but they; didn't know they were doing it. Their inexperience really show's. They wrestled hard today. I could really tell. They all slept on the way home. It. was a quiet bus ride. Next; week is our first dual meetwhere one team wins. It' should be an exciting experi-' ence for them.

The girls’ recreational has-; ketball league games havebeen moved from Saturdays! to! Sundays due to RCHS g^m| time conflicts. The games that were played from 10-12 on Saturdays will now be played on Sundays from 2-4 p.m. All game schedules remain the same. The indoor soccer league began play this past Saturday. Every Saturday between 4 until 8 p.m. in the RCHS gym,; they will be playing games.
