Steve Van Dam said that the team is in the process of matching songs and artists, and expects to begin scheduling studio time in midJanuary. After recording has been completed processing will commence, and it is expected that the CD will be released before the end of this school year.
The CD release will be celebrated at a Release Concert at a venue to be determined.
The album, as yet untitled, will be distributed first in Rappahannock County and then, if other localities have the good sense to hear Rappahannock voices, it will be distributed on a broader scale. Proceeds from the sale of the album will be directed to the public schools and to Hearthstone for arts enrichment.
This is a community effort and a collaborative process, and one that will assuredly be a success. The progress of the album will be tracked on a web site to be developed, and assistance is sought from the community for that web site development work.
