• Onegin: Rated R, 106 minutes, 1999, with Ralph Fiennes (of "The English Patient,") and Liv Tyler, the big-lipped but lovely daughter of Aerosmith's Steve lyier. This is a lush, beautiful costume drama, based on the Russian novel by Pushkin (which was also done as a ballet) about ill-fated love. There's lots of idle rich folk dallying around at dances wearing swell duds, and much mooning around.
Essentially, though, girl falls for guy, he rejects her, she finds another guy and marries, and of course, then first guy falls in love with her, and she rejects him. He goes to pot by drinking and carousing around and ends
