Amidst all the serious events
that have occurred in the past two weeks, there is the Tbwn Council of the Tbwn of Washington opting to proceed in an almost undetectable fashion to commit the Town to the purchase of a million dollar real estate property.
There is no denying that the Tbwn is in need of a Real Property location where it can begin its groundwork for an acceptable Waste Water Solution to alleviate the serious problem areas in the center of town.
Some eight months ago the Tbwn was afforded an option on just such a property, at one-fifth the cost of what is currently being proposed.
Sbme Council members appeared to let their personal interests override that of the Tbwn, and opted not to pursue that particular opportunity.
This was regarded a serious enough issue for Council Members Steve Critzer and Charlie Tbmpkins to vacate their seats for several months.
