The Rappahannock Planning Commission tabled the cell tower location in Amissville. There was an overwhelming response to a petition that was circulated asking that the tower be placed at the Amissville Fire House. Please call Ron Frazier, the Jackson District Supervisor at 937-4787 with any questions or opinions that you may have concerning this matter.
Country Kids Playgroup will resume on Monday, Oct. 1 at the JefFersonton Community Center. New families are welcome to join. The playgroup is a non-profit group for parents/caregivers and children ages infant to five. The group meets every Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Toys are provided; crafts and activities are planned. Optional field trips are also planned. Minimum dues are collected to defray the cost of the rent.
