Rabies clinic scheduled
Rabies Vaccination Clinic will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League, Route 639 off of US 211 in Amissville from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost will be $10 per pet. Vaccinations will be available for cats and dogs. For more information call 937-3336.
McEachin returns to county
Donald McEachin, the Democratic candidate for Attorney General, will be making a return visit to Rappahannock on Sunday afternoon. Oct. 14 for an old-fashioned, all-are-welcome Country Social and Town Meeting. McEachin will be speaking, meetin' and greetin' and taking questions at the Washington Fire Hall from 4 to 6 p.m. Great refreshments, of course. Coates family reunion set
The family of W.E. Coates will hold a family reunion at the Rappahannock Park near Washington on Sunday, Sept. 30. Dinner will be served at noon. “Plan to attend and bring a covered dish," said an organizer. For additional information call 987-8100.
Mushroom workshop planned
A wild mushroom weekend workshop with “Wildman” Steve Brill, New York’s best known naturalist will be held on Saturday and/or Sunday, Oct. 6 and 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Dreamtime Center For Herbal Studies and will be held on Sunnyside Orchard Farm.
