Lee Levick has been a builder in Rappahannock County for 20 years. He built “Standen Still”, another fine residence on the House Tour this year.
As always, the House Tour combines with the Dried Flower Sale in Trinity’s long-anticipated fall production. ThMfcyear there is separate management for each half of the production, and for the Dried Flower half Judy Tole and Louise Ellis are co-chairmen.
For the last several years, Judy and Louise were co-chairmen of the whole shebang. Given their enthusiasm, artistry, experience, and hard work, Trinity is blessed indeed to have them in any capacity.
The preparation of the flower arrangements takes a tremendous amount of time and skill. A select mixture of wild and cultivated flowers is gathered from fields, gardens and greenhouses. Many women and men of the church and community have been growing flowers this summer, as well as selecting wild flowers and foliage for drying.
Drying techniques vary from plant to plant and employ methods that the churchwomen have developed over time. This has become a wonderful tradition for not only the church but the community as well.
