propriate in view of the unfavorable conditions as shown on the RAPPAHANNOCK SOIL MAPJjF for these 18 plus acres. The fUnds currently entrusted to this Council should be treated with the utmost care and spent, or husbanded, to the benefit of the entire Town population. In addition I believe that the landowners surrounding this property should be made aware that a possible waste water facility might be located in their backyards before an acquisition is made.
At this time I can only urge the Council not to act in such a rush and properly conduct a public hearing on the matter. Avon Hall has been available for purchase for some time and there appears to be no great throng of interested parties necessitating this undue haste.
I would also urge the citizens of the Tbwn of Washington to consider that this is by no means a unanimous decision as yet and that they have a voice in the matter that should be heard by one and all: Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall.
