Issued in both the spring and fall, the new report features the latest performance information available on 5,999 sires. The report is accessible at www.angus.org.
“The American Angus Association has the most complete and comprehensive beef cattle database in the world,” says John Crouch, American Angus Association director of performance programs. “Of the sires listed in the main report, 76 percent have expected progeny differences (EPD) for carcass traits, which should assist cattlemen in choosing genetics that will produce a more consistent, higher quality beef product.”
