Mary Johnson

Front Royal resident

Mary Lucille Wilfong Johnson, 70, formerly of Front Royal died TYiesday, Sept. 18 at the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington.

Mrs. Johnson was bom Sept. 30, 1930 in Boyer, W.Va., a daughter of the late Monroe and Mamie Belle Ryder Wilfong. She married Thomas Rogers Johnson on June 15, 1952. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1990.

Mrs. Johnson was a long time employee of the Silco Store in Front Royal, where she was a sales clerk.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by a daughter, Gloria L. Pullen of Flint Hill; a brother, Everette Wilfong of California; three sisters, Ethel Huffman of Cedarville, Betty Jean Lambert of Boyer, W.Va. and Anna Belle Wilfong of Florida and a granddaughter, Patsy Louise Pullen of Flint Hill.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a grandson, Robbie Lee Pullen.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Turner-Robertshaw Chapel officiated by Rev. Diane Wetzel. Interment followed in Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Donald Keithley

Former resident

Donald Dale Keithley, 69, of Warrenton died on Thursday, Sept. 20 at his residence.

He was bom on June 26, 1932 in Matfield Green, Kan.

He graduated from Kansas State with a B.S. in Geology. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Keithley lived in Rappahannock County for 28 years. He and his wife, Arlene operated the Old Hollow Grocery for a number of years.
