Balloon Testing:
Miller Silo and Huntly Silo
In compliance with a condition imposed by the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, Sprint PCS will cause to have placed approx. 6’ diameter weather balloons at the sites and at the uppermost heights of the proposed Miller Silo near Washington, Virginia (PWSF#01-08-05) and at the proposed Huntly Silo near the intersection of U.S. Rt. 522 and Rt. 662 on Huntly (PWSF#0108-07).
The balloons will be placed on Friday, October 5 and will remain in place through Saturday, October 6, so that anyone may observe them. It is expected that the balloons will be placed no later than 12:00 noon on Friday. Should inclement weather render the balloon test unsafe, the balloons will be placed on October 12 & 13, instead.
OFFICIAL VOTING INFORMATION
The Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live in order to be qualified to vote. In order to be eligible to vote in the General Election, to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, you must register no later that 5:00 p.m. on_Tuesday October 9, 2001. For the convenience of eligible citizen, the Voter Registration Office of Rappahannock County located at 262A Gay street will be open for registration Mondav-Fridav 8:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M. The office at 262A Gay Street also will be open mi Saturday. October 21. 2001 and on Saturday. November 3.2001 from 9:00 A.M. -5:00 P.M. for the convenience of registered voters who need to vote by absentee ballot for this election date. Saturday. November 3. 2001. is the last day for this election on which absentee ballots may be voted in person by qualified applicants. All requests for reasonable accommodations due to a disability should be made to the registrar with at least a 48-hour notice. You are encouraged to make application for voter registration.
