Governor. Most recently she has worked at the Inn in Little Washington. We are very pleased to have her on staff.
• The annual “Taste of Rappahannock”, a wonderful event for the community sponsored by Headwatersthe Public Education Foundation, was held recently. For this event, restaurants, farms, and many dedicated individuals from Rappahannock come together to present an evening of fine dining and entertainment for those in attendance. This is a major fundraiser for Headwaters whose funds ultimately benefit the public schools in our county. Many thanks to all of you who contributed your time, talents, or foods to make this a success.
• So many of you have volunteered to help our schools this year (more than ever before) and we are extremely gratified. We are in the process of placing volunteers, trying to put you in areas where you will be happiest, and where there is the greatest need. If you have not yet been called, please rest assured that we are grateful for your generosity, and you will be asked to participate in a variety of ways as the year goes on. If you have questions, please call Jan Makela, Volunteer Coordinator, at 987-8259.
